Command Support System supports multi-agency (and multinational) emergency management, as demonstrated by the use of the system to support and coordinate several different agencies (the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, the Irish Coast Guard and Dutch emergency responders) as part of the EU FloodCommand programme of pan-European coastal flooding response.
The system will also be supporting the South Yorkshire Local Resilience Forum’s new Multi-Agency Gold headquarters. The Training and Exercising System has been used for managing a wide variety of multi-agency emergency management exercises, including a massive flooding evacuation exercise run by the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness in 2008 and the Hampshire Local Resilience Forum’s 2-day flooding exercise.
